Dear friends,
Thank you for visiting my fundraising site.
I am Dr. Normand Calimquim, currently battling with kidney failure and is in need of immediate life-saving assistance.
I am your average guy, who loves life, and dreams big. Unfortunatley, as I am about to embark on a new phase in life, I was diagnosed with kidney disease 2 years ago. I was finishing my last days of internship at SLU back then, and is about to prepare for the medical boards exam. The news came as a big shock to me and to everyone who knows me, and has devastated my family. After years of laboring to pursue my dream of being a doctor, and the hardwork and patience of my family in helping me realize this dream, this illness comes along to stand between my chances.
I have been on dialysis for almost 2 years, and currently having it 3x weekly, costing me 2,500 pesos per session. A kidney transplant is the best alternative, as advised by my attending physician. However, this would cost me 1.2 M pesos, which truthfully is increasingly difficult for me & my family due to our already dwindling finances. Also, I am too weak to work anymore.
I am humbly asking for your generosity to be able to raise the amount needed for my kidney transplant, and while waiting, for my weekly dialysis. Details of the bank account for those who are kind enough to willingly donate to support my cause is posted below.
